Nope, this is not the YouTube Premium that you heard of rather, but YouTube TV has been around for about two years now (you will learn why). So what are the new features in YouTube TV? Will it be available in Malaysia? Here's everything we know so far.
Taking a trip to the official webpage, YouTube TV now offers over 85 channels that consist of a wide range of catalogues. This includes live sports, news, and entertainment that are American-based, such as ESPN, CNN, Comedy Central, NFL Network, nickelodeon, HBO Max as an add-on, and many more. The whole package costs $64.99 per month (~RM269.87) without a cable box, contracts or hidden fees, up to 6 accounts.
On top of that, YouTube TV also provides unlimited cloud DVR storage space and rewind, fast forward, and pause functions. If you want, you can get some add-ons just like HBO Max as aforementioned as well as 4K Plus, offline recordings and unlimited streams at an additional fee. At the moment, YouTube TV is available on Google Chromecast, Apple TV, PlayStation, LG, Samsung, Android, iOS and others.
Looking at the contents, YouTube TV doesn't have many Asian-flavoured contents so we don't think it will come to Malaysia.
