YouTube introduces new features for better parental control

YouTube launched a new supervision feature that allows parents and guardians to link their accounts to children's accounts through the Family Center hub. Launching globally this week, the Family Center hub lets parents see activity on kids' channels. That includes the number of uploads, subscriptions and comments.

For your information, email notifications will also be sent to both linked accounts to notify of activities such as when the teen uploads a new video or starts a live stream. In the meantime, YouTube notes that it's just the beginning of this kind of experience, which means you will likely see more such features added in the future.

We have yet to confirm other details on the subject. Hopefully, YouTube will reveal more information about it soon. After all, parents in Malaysia could do better with more of these features.
