Among all the annoying things online, ads forcefully appearing on a YouTube video is no doubt one of them. Many resorts not paying or simply installing Ad Blockers but we may not be able to do this in the future. It has been confirmed that YouTube is experimenting with a new feature that blocks Ad Blockers.

Since it's an experiment, it was discovered by a random YouTube user who posted a screenshot about it on Reddit. A YouTube employee confirmed the experiment to a Reddit MOD and this is probably going to get a lot of users angry. In the screenshot, you can see YouTube saying "Ads allow YouTube to stay free for billions of users worldwide".

Moreover, another sentence saying going ad-free with YouTube Premium helps creators get paid from subscriptions. YouTube asking users to subscribe and pay may seem like a very corporate greed thing to do, but it's also true that it puts food on the table for content creators around the world, as well as staying free to watch.
