Have y’all noticed a few changes that have been made to your YouTube app recently? It looks like YouTube has been making changes here and there through app updates to bring better experiences for the users. From the user interface to new features, the popular video-sharing platform has revealed a few things that we might see on the app, which includes a feature called video chapters.

Video chapters is a feature that separates a video into different sections to let users navigate the video more easily. The chapters will appear at the bottom of the video player and use timestamps from the creator’s video description. This feature allows users to skip to a part that they want to watch easily without scrolling blindly. Currently, YouTube is still in a beta test for the feature and only selected content creators are allowed to participate in the test. It is also worth mentioning that not all users will get the feature at the moment.

Other than that, the comments section for the YouTube Android app has also been moved upwards and placed below the video description. I’ve gotten the feature and I think that I’m having no issue with it, as I don’t have to scroll through a list of recommended videos to look at those hilarious comments. YouTube has also announced that they will be continuously testing beta features on the platform, so don’t be surprised if you see a new one as it might get eliminated if the feedback is not positive.
