If you're an uprising content creator on YouTube, this is good news for you. YouTube is lowering the requirements for the YouTube Partner Program and it's much easier to get monetised and ads-revenue. However, this initiative is only rolling out for selected countries.

According to the YouTube support page, the expansion is only coming to Canada, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Taiwan and the United States. Anyway, the new requirements are now needing 500 subscribers (that's half of the previous one), 3 public uploads in the last 90 days, and either 3000 valid public watch hours or 3 million public Shorts views.

As a reminder, particularly for those in Malaysia, the requirement to be part of the YouTube Partner Program remains the same. So you need to have at least 1000 subscribers, and either 4000 valid public watch hours or 10 million valid public Shorts views. To apply, you can access YouTube Studio on your PC or app, find "Earn" and Apply Now if you qualify.

You can also click on Get Notified and see your progress in the Earn section of YouTube Studio. It ain't going to be easy so good luck and all the best.
