YouTube might add a graph on videos to indicate most-watched parts

After making it easier for users to transfer the videos from mobile devices to desktops, YouTube moves on to test another new feature that can tell us which parts of a video are interesting. It also looks like the video streaming platform is currently letting some users try it out.

For that to work, YouTube places a special graph right above the red progress bar. It will indicate the users which are the parts most-watched by others through having higher curves. We think that not only standard users could benefit from it, content creators can also use the data to improve their videos based on what the viewers like to see.

It's mentioned that only a small percentage of smartphone and PC users are in the experiment. There's also no promise that YouTube will release it in the future. However, seeing some of the other entertainment sites also have a similar version of this feature raises up the possibilities for YouTube to roll out its own.
