Don't know what music to listen to on YouTube Music (YTM)? Well, there's an AI feature that helps with that. "Ask Music" is an AI feature introduced last September to Android devices. But now, this feature is now on the iPhone and iPad.
In case you didn't know, the 'radio' in YTM isn't quite the radio you'd typically listen to while driving. Instead, YTM's radio collates the artists or songs you have been listening to and presents them to you in the form of playlists. As such, "Ask Music" is a feature that lets you create custom playlists based on your prompts. Moreover, autoplay will be on by default and you can quickly add new tracks you've discovered to your playlists.

According to 9to5Google, the feature will appear as an "Ask for music" shelf in the YouTube Music Home tab. Some preset prompts are available, but you can also tap on the text bar (or record button) to provide a custom prompt. It should be noted that the prompt should describe your current mood, activity, or preferred listening experience. Also, "Ask Music" requires a YouTube Premium subscription and is currently limited to the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.
Whether YouTube releases this feature in other regions probably will depend on demand. But with that said, is this a feature you would consider using? What's a feature you feel YouTube Music lacks? Please share your ideas on our Facebook page!
