YouTube is implementing an intelligent search results carousel that surfaces contextually relevant videos and topic descriptions. For example, if you search for “best beaches in Hawaii,” the AI might present a curated carousel highlighting snorkelling hotspots, volcanic shores, and more, along with descriptions and suggestions for planning the perfect beach day.
At the moment, only YouTube Premium members in the U.S. can try this feature on search queries related to shopping, travel, or local activities. There is no word when this feature will expand to the rest of the world.
Conversational AI Expands Beyond Premium Users
Additionally, YouTube’s conversational AI tool — which lets users get information, video recommendations, or even quiz themselves on topics — is being tested with a broader U.S. audience beyond YouTube Premium members.
