YouTube will stop notifications on mobile apps for channels you don't watch

Recently, YouTube announced changes to how notifications operate on their mobile app, where they will stop notifications if users do not interact with notifications from a channel or do not watch videos published by that channel. That said, what should you know about it?

These changes depend on how you consume content

For your information, YouTube says that there may be times when users mistakenly opt in to receive notifications from a channel, and according to data, many do not interact with notifications when a channel publishes a video. There are also times when users enable notifications to support a channel, but do not interact with the channel after some time.

YouTube says this change is only on the mobile app, and you can still access all notifications in the inbox section on desktop or web. However, if you interact with and watch all the videos from a channel's notifications, then no changes will happen to you.
