To improve device security, Android devices will now reboot if they are detected to have not been unlocked for three consecutive days. After the device restarts, to access the content, a pin number must be entered first with the biometric system deactivated. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, the update was released via Google Play 25.14, with the feature spotted by 9to5Google. The new security system is similar to what Apple introduced to iPhones last year with ios 18. Authorities have noticed that confiscated iPhones are randomly rebooting. Content can only be accessed after a pin number is entered. Without a pin, data on the device is encrypted, making it harder to read.

We have yet to confirm other details on the news. So, we should wait for more confirmation from Android. Hopefully, everything will be sorted out soon.
