Not much news about ZTE lately, but however they did just recently released a new Android Wear smartwatch called the ZTE Quartz. The last time that they released one was two years ago in China, and it cost $200 (around RM886) from T-Mobile in the USA.

Anyway, it sports a 1.4-inch AMOLED display which is pretty big for a wearable. However, ZTE has pulled out NFC, a heart rate monitor and the rotating dial, it sounds weird for a smartwatch missing those but it’s not like every smartwatch needs that. It has a IP67 water and dust resistance grade, though, with a 500 mAh battery inside that’s not so bad.

Band straps are interchangeable, it also supports cellular connectivity which is a rarity. But it means you need your smartphone to be compatible as well.

Should you be interested to get one, you can purchase one on 14 or 21 April 2017 at T-Mobile’s website. Or just wait if ZTE actually brings it to Malaysia. Stay tuned for more ZTE news at TechNave.com.
