In the land of the rising sun, ZTE will be releasing its first-ever flip smartphone for the Japanese market. Called the ZTE Libero Flip, it's set to launch on 29 February 2024 at the price of 63,000 yen (~RM2009).

In terms of tech specs, the Libero Flip features a 6.9-inch AMOLED display when unfolded and a unique external 1.43-inch sub-display that shows notifications, cameras, music and other widgets on the go. Users can also use it as a "mirror" to take photos with the dual rear cameras, consisting of a 50MP (main) + 2MP (depth) setup, while the front camera is 16MP.

Besides that, the Libero Flip also has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, 6GB + 128GB memory capacity, a 4310mAh battery with 33W fast charging technology, and runs on Android 13 out of the box, as well as supporting eSIM and USB-C connectivity. It's worth mentioning that the phone supports an IP42 water and dust resistance rating.

The ZTE Libero Flip will be available in white, gold and blue. ZTE doesn't have a strong presence in the Malaysia market so we don't think we will be seeing one anytime soon. For more information, you can visit the official web portal right here
