In case you didn’t know, foodpanda protect+ is an accidental insurance top-up scheme that provides round-the-clock, double protection for foodpanda delivery partners and their next of kin. This scheme is developed by InsurTech firm PolicyStreet. Plus, this is an affordable scheme with 24-hour worldwide coverage against death, disablement and hospitalisation caused by accident. The best thing about this scheme? It will only cost you RM3.
Moreover, you can also extend the coverage to include your spouse and up to two children for RM6. Remember, you will have to top-up RM1 for each subsequent child. If you are single, you can extend this coverage to both parents at the same rate.
For your information, delivery riders under this scheme are insured up to a total amount of RM100,000 in the event of accidental death or permanent disability while on their delivery rounds. As of now, foodpanda protect+ is one of the best existing free insurance coverages provided to all delivery partners during their shifts. Shubham Saran, Head of Logistics, foodpanda Malaysia, said:
