As many of you have already heard by now, the government is not keen on allowing the Ramadhan E-Bazaar plan to proceed. Initially planned by Grab Malaysia, the company have yet to make an official statement on that but on the other hand, foodpanda will be partnering with the Penang Halal International to launch the campaign in the state.

Yes, it seems that Penang will probably be the only state in Malaysia to have the first-ever Ramadhan E-Bazaar. Despite that, YAB Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang still encourages social distancing as normal, as well as to support the business community by a collaborative effort and teaming up with foodpanda. He also mentioned that through foodpanda, they will be able to encourage more of the Halal business community to embrace the future of business with this technology.

On top of that, the Halal compliant businesses and those who would like to come on board of the Ramadan E-Bazaar can sign up here. The campaign is said to go live early Ramadan so do stay tuned for updated news in the near future. Stay home, stay safe, and stay tuned for more local tech news at TechNave.com.
