So somewhere in China, honor just released an honor 7A as a budget-friendly device with a price of 799 Yuan and 999 Yuan (yes two variants). That's around ~RM491 and ~RM641 only in direct conversion and it looks super similar to the honor 7X in terms of design. Well anyway, below is the official tech-specs so check it out.
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor
- 2GB and 3GB of RAM
- 32GB internal storage (expandable memory available)
- 5.7-inch IPS LCD display (1440 x 720p, 18:9 aspect ratio)
- Measures 152.4 x 73 x 7.8mm, weighs 150g
- 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera, 8MP front camera
- Features Face Unlock, triple SIM slot, AR Stickers, Histen 3D
- Support NFC, microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G, VoLTE,
- EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo
- 3000mAh battery
So apparently, based on the tech-specs list above, there will be two variants which are the 2GB and 3GB model, both models will also have a different set of cameras, the 2GB will only have a single 13MP primary camera, while the latter takes the dual rear camera. And about the Histen 3D (it's really spelt like that), it's all about audio performance with a smart power amplifier chip that can release 88db of audio output. It even has Party Mode, allowing multiple users to connect together with NFC and play the same music. In other words, like multiple speakers.
We aren't sure if this will come into Malaysia, but won't be surprised if it does seeing how popular honor brand is within our country. Stay tuned for more honor news at TechNave.com.
