iMac 2023 with Apple M3 SoC Malaysia release - The new and improved device will be available from RM6299

Looks like Apple fans in Malaysia are in for a treat. Previously, we mentioned the release of the Apple M3 chip/processors. Today, the device has officially arrived on the Malaysian market. That said, what should you know about it?

For your information, the all-in-one computer was first revealed to the world last month. Interestingly, the iMac is not the only device that made it here today. The new MacBook featuring M3 chips have also become available in Malaysia.

If you are interested, the new iMac features 3 different setups to suit your needs. Based on Apple Malaysia’s Online Store, the vanilla unit could feature an 8-core GPU with 8GB unified memory and 256GB storage. Meanwhile, the second variant features an improved GPU chip of 10 cores.

Meanwhile, the most high-end unit runs the 10-core GPU with 8GB unified memory and 512GB storage. Prices for the new iMac start from RM6299. For your information, these are the configurations for the new iMac in Malaysia:

• iMac 2023 with 8-core GPU, 8GB unified memory and 256GB storage: RM6,299
• iMac 2023 with 10-core GPU, 8GB unified memory and 256GB storage: RM7,299
• iMac 2023 with 10-core GPU, 8GB unified memory and 512GB storage: RM8,099

Interestingly, the M3 chip allows you to upgrade your device to a maximum of 24GB of unified memory. However, keep in mind that an 8GB RAM upgrade will cost you RM800 simultaneously. So, if you are planning to upgrade your vanilla unit from 8GB to 24GB, that would cost you RM1600 respectively.
