When it comes to mobile apps and web browsers these days, the biggest concern would have to be data privacy. In an effort to improve privacy for its platform, Apple will be implementing a new policy for its App Store. Allegedly, apps that don't follow this new policy could be removed from the platform.

According to Reuters, Apple has created a new feature called App Tracking Transparency and requires all apps to be compliant with the feature once it's implemented. Apps will be required to ask the user for permission to track them on apps or websites from third-party companies. They will also allow users to block advertisers from doing so.

The feature was originally set to be implemented this year, but Apple has given developers some leeway to make the necessary changes to their apps. As mentioned, apps that are not compliant after the deadline will likely be removed. Of course, it's likely that Apple will allow the apps to be added back to the App Store once the changes are made.

Advertisers will likely feel aggrieved, but this is a great way to protect our privacy. Speaking of privacy, what other methods do you think Apple can implement to improve its App Store's data privacy? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more news.
