For large screens, it makes sense to take full advantage of the space available. However, picture-in-picture mode isn't always available. That's the case for the YouTube TV app on Apple devices, but it looks like YouTube has finally managed to add the feature to iOS.
Earlier today, YouTube TV announced in a tweet that picture-in-picture mode is rolling out to iOS devices. You will need an iPhone or iPad with iOS 15 or higher to enjoy this feature. Swipe up from the bottom while watching a video, and you'll return to the app's main page with the video now in a small window. This window can then be repositioned to your liking.

We’re happy to share that picture-in-picture is now rolling out to your iOS 15+ devices. Simply select a video to watch and swipe from the bottom of the screen to return to the device's homepage. The video can scale down and move across your screen.
In case you didn't know, YouTube TV is more like Astro than Netflix. It provides cable TV channels like ESPN, Cartoon Network, and BBC world news to online users. Currently, the app is only available in the US (unless you use a VPN). For us Malaysians, Astro GO already provides picture-in-picture. Mind you, I can't confirm if the iOS version supports the feature.
Is there an app that you hope would have picture-in-picture mode? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
