Apple is reportedly investigating a software bug with iPadOS 15.5 on the iPad Mini 6 to get to the root of the issue. This is following a number of users sharing that they are facing charging issues with their devices following the OTA update.

As reported by MacRumors, the issue has come to the attention of Apple, which has since sent a memo on the matter to its authorised service providers. In the memo, the tech giant alluded that issue is with software and not hardware.

Furthermore, Apple is advising for service providers and retail staff to inform customers to restart their iPad Mini 6 as a temporary fix while a permanent fix is in the works. A hardware replacement of the iPad Mini or its battery will not solve the problem and Apple is currently beta testing iPadOS 15.6, which may solve the problem.
