Apple only released the iPad mini 5 in 2019 after a 4-year gap, so some would think that the next one won't be out soon. But it seems that the company isn't going to leave it alone for that long anymore, as there is now a rumour that the iPad mini 6 is already in development.

According to 000leaker (via Notebookcheck), Apple already has one prototype for the iPad mini 6 and it's larger than its predecessor. This prototype allegedly features an 8.5-inch Liquid Retina display, as well as the same USB Type-C and speaker setup found on the iPad mini 5. It's also expected to have an A14 Bionic chipset, 4GB of RAM, and the same camera setup the recently launched iPad Air 4.

The source also mentioned that the new iPad mini will support the Apple Pencil 2 and feature a "boxy design". Additionally, Apple is testing the use of two batteries with the new prototype, but the dual-battery design hasn't performed well. It's unknown if Apple will keep the concept in the final design.

Overall, the iPad mini 6 sounds like it will be a smaller iPad Air 4, but we won't know for sure until the final design is revealed. Having said that, what would you like to see improved or changed in the new model? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for further updates on this.
