When the Apple iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max launched earlier this month, we finally saw ProMotion in action. Although some apps can't go over 60Hz yet, the display is undeniably good. But just how good is it? Well, DisplayMate says it's one of the best.

In the latest DisplayMate report, the iPhone 13 Pro Max achieved an A+ in display performance grade, earning it DisplayMate's Best Smartphone Display Award. As a reminder, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max both have a Super Retina XDR OLED display. This is a high-quality display that has a variable refresh rate of 10 to 120Hz, support for HDR10, and a peak brightness level of 1200nits.

According to DisplayMate, the iPhone 13 Pro Max delivers "close to textbook perfect calibration accuracy and performance that is visually indistinguishable from perfect". It's not a very precise way of describing how good the display is, but the extensive report contains a lot of technical details about that (if you're interested).

The Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is now one of the best smartphones when it comes to the display's performance. So if that's important to you, then you might want to get one for yourself. Having said that, is a good display enough to make you buy a new phone? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
