The iPhone 15 series may still be a few weeks from reaching consumers' hands. But there have been some rumours about the Pro series models recently. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will likely get notable upgrades, and one of the upgrades involves the body finish.
According to @URedditor (via Wccftech), the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro Max would feature a titanium finish. We don't know which parts would use titanium, but it's like the back cover and frame. It was previously rumoured that the next-gen Apple Watch Ultra could feature 3D-printed titanium parts, so Apple's suppliers could already have the equipment to print such parts for other devices.
Let’s kick things up a notch, shall we?

Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V), Aluminum (Al 6013 T6). https://t.co/2KfX4l1dXh
For reference, last year's iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have a stainless steel finish instead. Titanium is considered better since it provides enhanced durability but is more lightweight. It also has a higher corrosion resistance than stainless steel. In theory, that means an iPhone 15 Pro could fall into a dirty lake and still come out in pristine condition (but don't take our word on that).
On the other hand, the transition to titanium metal also means that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are likely more expensive. This was previously hinted at, so it's not too much of a surprise. But if you've been waiting for this year's models, you might want to save up more.
Well, what do you think about the new iPhone Pro phones getting a titanium finish? Is it something you'd consider a worthwhile upgrade? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
