Last week, we reported that the battery life on the new iPhone 15 series has no changes when compared to its predecessors. The exact figures were not known at the time until now, which was revealed by the Chinese Regulatory database recently.
Looking at the table comparison below, the difference between the models is a mere fraction. The iPhone 15 Pro Max got the "most" upgrade with just 99mAh, followed by 74mAh, 70mAh and 58mAh for the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus respectively. This is easily the least upgrade that we have ever seen on the new iPhone lineup.
iPhone 15 series | Battery | iPhone 14 series | Battery |
---|---|---|---|
iPhone 15 | 3,349mAh | iPhone 14 | 3,279mAh |
iPhone 15 Plus | 4,383mAh | iPhone 14 Plus | 4,325mAh |
iPhone 15 Pro | 3,274mAh | iPhone 14 Pro | 3,200mAh |
iPhone 15 Pro Max | 4,422mAh | iPhone 14 Pro Max | 4,323mAh |
Like before, the iPhone 15 base model has slightly more battery life than the pro variant. But that hardly means anything, as the latter has a new A17 Pro chipset which is said to be more power efficient. It runs on a 3nm architecture after all and should distribute the battery energy better. Of course, reviews aren't out yet and that remains to be seen.
The iPhone 15 series pre-order will be available soon in Malaysia on 22 September at 12.01 AM. iPhone Malaysian fans can then take a look at the latest offer by our local telcos such as CelcomDigi, Maxis, U Mobile and others. Stay tuned for that.
