Apple may be upgrading the iPhone 15 series with WiFi 6E, the same WiFi standard currently available on the latest M2-powered MacBook Pro, Mac Mini and iPad Pro. This is according to a research note shared by Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis and Tom O’Malley.

As reported by MacRumors, this would be an upgrade from the WiFi 6 currently supported by all models in the iPhone 14 series. However, the research note did not mention whether all models of the iPhone 15 series would feature WiFi 6E or only the Pro models.

WiFi 6E provides faster wireless speeds, lower latency and less signal interference and operates on the 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands. Of course, to enjoy the full power of WiFi 6E, users do need a router that supports the standard.

Do take this information with a grain of salt though as nothing is confirmed as of yet. Well, given the ubiquity of WiFi 6E in Apple’s latest products, we won’t be too surprised if it makes its way to the iPhone 15 series later this year.
