Apple may not have launched its iPhone 15 series yet, but that's not stopping leaks about the iPhone 16 series. Of course, the iPhone 16 series won't be revealed till September 2024, so treat this as mere speculation. But let's see what we have this time.
According to Digital Chat Station, Apple could release an iPhone with a 1/1.14-inch main camera and "ultra-telephoto" periscope camera. That would mean the main camera's sensor is about 12% larger than the iPhone 14 Pro Max's main camera, so we can expect brighter and clearer shots. Moreover, the ultra-telephoto periscope camera will allegedly have a focal length equivalent to 300mm.

There hasn't been a true telephoto camera in an iPhone before
The tipster claimed that the info provided was based on supply chain information, so the company could already be in talks with its suppliers for next year's iPhones. But since it's still 2023, Apple probably hasn't finalised the design and specs for the iPhone 16 series. In other words, things could still change in the following months.
However, we remind you that this is merely speculation, and there's currently no solid evidence of its validity. But it's about time for Apple to include a telephoto camera in its Pro Max models, so I won't be surprised if this turns out to be accurate. Either way, we'll have to wait till next year to find out.
With that said, what do you think about this? Would you like to see an iPhone with a super telephoto camera? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
