Pre-orders for the new iPhone 17 lineup (iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max) and the iPhone Air began a week ago. Today, 19 September 2025, the local set is officially available. As usual, all the telcos will be offering the lineup with their own special deals. But which one is best suited for you?

CelcomDigi - Most Loaded Bundle

Starting off, CelcomDigi is pushing perhaps the most loaded bundle. Its campaign includes rebates up to RM1200 for port-in customers, as well as up to RM300 extra trade-in bonus on top of the phone's base value. Other perks include free PhoneCARE protection, a PrivateSIM (adding privacy features), and optional JetSet Roam Pass (for end-of-year travel) bundled with either Apple AirTag or AirPods 4 — while stocks last.

For instalment options, the CelcomDigi Easy360 plan allows 0% interest over up to 36 months and sometimes RM0 upfront, depending on the plan. Monthly instalments differ depending on model and contract length. For example, the iPhone 17 can be purchased for RM129/month with a 24-month instalment or RM78/month in 36 months under certain plans.

Maxis - The Usual Zerolution and Accessory Discounts

Maxis' offer emphasises flexible payment, including Zerolution plans with 24- or 36-month instalments at 0% interest. The telco also offers contracts with upfront payments to gain savings (up to RM1865 in some cases).

To sweeten the deal, Maxis is giving up to 60% off accessories when you pre-order online and collect in-store, a free limited-edition "Maxis Dino and Friends" blind box, and bonuses via trade-in (extra savings up to RM 500). Also included is a 3-month free device protection package under "Maxis Device Care".

U Mobile - Competitive Starting Monthly Prices

U Mobile's offers are more modest but competitive. The monthly instalment prices are around RM88/month for the base iPhone 17. You can also get the iPhone Air for RM113/month, iPhone 17 Pro for RM126/month, and iPhone 17 Pro Max for RM138/month.

Some perks include RM0 Device Care for the first three months, a rebate for switching to U Postpaid (RM120), and generous 5G data allowances (sometimes up to 1000 GB) plus free global roaming in 60+ destinations depending on plan. Delivery is expected within 14 working days from 19 September 2025, depending on location and available stock.

Yes 5G - Competitive Prices and Free Accessories

Yes has introduced both Infinite+ and Infinite Cashback plans for the iPhone 17 Series. Under Infinite+, customers get 0% interest instalments for up to 36 months, and RM0 upfront payment in many cases, combined with uncapped 5G data (no Fair Usage Policy). Infinite Cashback gives more flexibility: no lock-in contracts, monthly cashback that can be used to reduce bills or withdrawn.

The starting monthly instalments with Yes are very competitively low, with the iPhone 17 from RM77/month (24-month), or RM26/month (36-month) under certain plans. Similarly, the iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max are scaled lower for longer durations. Bonus offers include bill rebates (up to RM360) and free accessories (e.g. a power adapter worth RM99) during the pre-order period.

Verdict - So Which One is the Best For You?

If you want maximum freebies and rebates, CelcomDigi looks like the most generous bundle, with up to RM2429 in gifts and rebates depending on plan, port-in, trade-in and more. For those who want the lowest monthly payments, Yes 5G and U Mobile are tempting, especially if you're okay with longer instalment periods. Maxis sits somewhere in between, offering good value, especially with accessory deals and trade-in credits.
