iPhone 17 series to have cooling vapour chamber to avoid overheating

It's not always Android devices copying Apple. Sometimes it's the other way around. Of course, the latter often happens only for software features and when Apple deems necessary. However, Apple could adopt a popular Android hardware feature for the iPhone this year.

According to MyDrivers, Apple will add a vapour chamber heat sink to its iPhone 17 series later this year. It's even rumoured that the iPhone 17 Pro Max could feature a vapour chamber and graphite cooling sheet. This combination is required because this year's top-end model is expected to be the highest-performing iPhone thus far.

For your information, there were reports of the iPhone 15 series overheating in 2023. While the Apple A17 Pro chipset wasn't the actual culprit as initially believed, it doesn't change that the Pro models were overheating. Ultimately, the overheating was largely attributed to subpar heat dissipation and the titanium frame. The iPhone 16 series seemed to have solved that, but Apple does have an incentive to ensure that the iPhone 17 series won't have this problem.
