CAPTCHA is one of the web’s most widely-used security features to protect against bots and spams, though the difficulty of some CAPTCHAs have definitely made us question whether we are actually human or just sentient bots. Well, if you’re an Apple user and have had enough of CAPTCHAs, then we’ve got good news for you as a new feature in iOS 16 has made it possible to bypass the security feature in supported apps and websites.

Called ‘Automatic Verification’, the new feature can be found under Password & Security within the Apple ID menu. When you’ve updated your iPhone to iOS 16 (which is coming soon), you can now bypass CAPTCHAs by enabling the feature.

Basically, the feature will utilise iCloud and automatically and privately verifying your device and account, hence bypassing CAPTCHA completely. As shared by Apple on its official developer website, the Automatic Verification feature replaces CAPTCHAs with Private Access Tokens, which are a powerful alternative to help identify HTTP requests from legitimate devices and people without compromising their identity or personal information.

The feature will be turned on by default in iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. Furthermore, Apple also confirmed that the feature will be supported on macOS Ventura. All we’ve got to do now is wait until the updates to these new OS are official so as to enjoy a CAPTCHA-free experience. Well, for supported apps and websites at least.
