iPhone waves goodbye to notch in this new year

Today is the first day of 2020 and we’ve received really good news about Apple’s future. There is evidence claiming that the iPhones will be getting a makeover and this time, it is not about new colours or new camera design. The company has filed a patent of an iPhone without the notch and it looks promising.

The biggest problem that comes with ditching the notch would be the front-facing camera. Without the huge block on the screen, it left us wondering where else could the camera be positioned. By answering that, there are actually few sources claiming that the selfie camera will either be placed under the screen, or hidden in a small bezel at the sides of the screen.

Other than that, the Face ID is said to be ditched by Apple as well and go with an in-display Touch ID. However, there is not much information on this yet and we sure would like to see new technology being applied to the new device.

Earlier, we’ve seen leaked images of the Apple iPhone SE 2 that still comes with the notorious bangs. Therefore, it is unsure whether the iPhone without a notch will be coming out later this year or being kept for next year’s release.
