Finally, after a few teasers, the iQOO 12 series was unveiled in China and there are two models as expected - the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro. What other tech specs are there besides the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset? Read below to find out more.
Accompanied by up to 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, the standard iQOO 12 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED 144Hz display with HDR support, 3000nits peak brightness, 2160Hz PWM dimming and more. On the other hand, the iQOO 12 Pro also has the same display size as well as the same set of cameras.
Both the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro feature the same triple rear camera. They consist of a 50MP (main, OIS) + 64MP (periscope telephoto + 100x digital zoom) + 50MP (ultrawide) setup, while the front camera is 16MP. The only differences between the two are the 5000mAh and 5100mAh battery pack respectively (with the same 120W fast charging technology).
Finally, both support 5G and run on OriginOS 4 based on Android 14 out of the box. There's no 12GB iQOO Pro variant and below are the prices for each memory variant:
- iQOO 12 (12GB+256GB): 3999 yuan (~RM2565)
- iQOO 12 (16GB+512GB): 4299 yuan (~RM2757)
- iQOO 12 (16GB+1TB): 4699 yuan (~RM3014)
- iQOO 12 Pro (16GB+256GB): 4999 yuan (~RM3206)
- iQOO 12 Pro (16GB+512GB): 5499 yuan (~RM3527)
- iQOO 12 Pro (16GB+1TB): 5999 yuan (~RM3848)
We think the iQOO 12 series will come to Malaysia at some point in the future. So until then, we just have to wait and see from iQOO Malaysia's official announcement.
