Last month, vivo sub-brand iQOO hinted at a possible expansion to Malaysia. With that being the case, rumours of a new flagship are now far more relevant for us. In fact, there's a new rumour that the iQOO 8 will launch soon.

According to WHYLAB (via Notebookcheck), the iQOO 8 series will be launched on 4 August 2021. It'll allegedly come with the Snapdragon 888+ chipset. A reliable source has also revealed that the phone will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Moreover, it may come with a 120Hz display (3200x1440) and run on Android 11.

The interesting bit is the "+4GB", which likely refers to 4GB of additional virtual RAM. We can also guess some of its other features based on its predecessor. For reference, the iQOO 7 came with a 48MP+13MP+13MP triple-camera setup, 16MP front camera, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and a 120W fast charger.

As you can guess, the iQOO 8 is going to be a flagship device that has powerful specs. But it's not going to have that many high-end features, so the price might be rather reasonable. Having said that, would you be excited to get this phone in Malaysia? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for updates about it.
