Some Malaysians are still waiting for iQOO smartphones, months after the company first hinted that it might come here. If you're in this small gang, this might be good news for you as the launch date for the iQOO 9 series has been revealed.

According to GSMArena, the iQOO 9 series was spotted on Amazon India. The product page confirmed that the company is getting ready to launch its latest flagship series on 23 February 2022. There will be a total of three models in the series - the iQOO 9, iQOO 9 Pro, and iQOO 9SE. Based on the naming convention, the iQOO 9SE is expected to be some kind of Lite model. As for the design, the new model seems to have a secondary screen for notifications.

Is that a secondary display?

In terms of tech specs, the iQOO 9 series will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. It's also expected to feature 120W fast charging and 4GB of virtual RAM. The RAM and storage configuration wasn't disclosed, but it's rumoured that both will have up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

Mind you, it's still not confirmation of a Malaysian release. But iQOO might consider SEA its next destination after India, fingers crossed. With that said, what do you think about the iQOO 9 series' BMW theme? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news about it.
