iQOO 9T release: SD 8+ Gen 1, 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED, and 120W charging, starts from ~RM2,794

Instead of following the schedule, iQOO unexpectedly launched the iQOO 9T in India today. The device was scheduled to go live on 2 August, but it's unsure why the sudden change. Nevertheless, the iQOO 9T is now here as a rebranded iQOO 10 outside of China, with the latest flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Let's continue reading to know more about the device!

The iQOO 9T brings a 6.78-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also gets protected by a layer of Schott Xensation UP glass and has HDR10, 1500 nits peak brightness level, and 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Under the hood, the Snapdragon chip gets paired with LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and VC liquid cooling system. There's a 4,700mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging as well.

Furthermore, it packs a triple camera system on the rear, consisting of a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN5 primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide + macro unit, and a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor with a 2x optical lens. The iQOO 9T also features the vivo V1+ chip for image processing and display optimizations. Meanwhile, the front gets a 16MP camera. Other features include dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, IP52 rating, dual stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor and Funtouch OS 12.1 based on Android 12.

The iQOO 9T retails at ₹49,999 (~RM2,794) for the 8/128GB model and ₹54,999 (~RM3,073) for the 12/256GB option in India. It'll be available in two paint jobs - Alpha (Black) and Legend (BMW M Motorsport). Stay tuned to TechNave.com for more smartphone launch coverages!
