For some people, getting a new flagship phone means getting a slightly older device instead of the most recent models. It's a great strategy when the new model is merely a slight upgrade over its predecessor. That seems to be the case for the iQOO Neo 11, which is launching soon.

Last year's chipset

According to an official Weibo post, the iQOO Neo 11 will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Why this chipset instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 5? While Qualcomm's latest premium flagship chipsets could deliver higher performance, iQOO could lower a device's cost by opting for an older chipset.

In fact, some Chinese netizens claim that the iQOO Neo 11 could retail for 2499 yuan (~RM1475), which makes it more affordable than the more premium iQOO 15. For reference, the iQOO Neo 10 launched in Malaysia for RM1999, so we expect the local price for the iQOO Neo 11 to be similar.

Other upgrades

Besides the chipset, the iQOO Neo 11's battery capacity sees a notable upgrade to 7500mAh. In comparison, the iQOO Neo 10 featured a 7000mAh battery. The iQOO Neo 11 also features an 8K VC, LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, as well as IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance. By the way, the 8K VC refers to the same 8000mm2 single-layer vapour chamber equipped in the iQOO 15.

Overall, you can consider the iQOO Neo 11 a sidegrade of the iQOO 15. It may not perform on the same level, and the cameras won't be as impressive, but the Neo 11 offers a larger battery and a more affordable price tag than its counterpart.

Launch date confirmed

The iQOO Neo 11 launches tomorrow (30 October 2025), so we'll know the exact price soon. Since its predecessor launched here in June 2025, we can expect the new model to launch here around Q2 2026. We'll keep an eye out for more updates on that. In the meantime, stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
