iQOO Neo 3 released with 144Hz refresh rate, 44W fast charging & more priced from ~RM1664

If there's one smartphone that's popular but never makes it to Malaysia, the iQOO series by vivo is definitely it. The company have yet again released another gaming smartphone called the iQOO Neo 3 and is has a refresh rate of 144Hz! Yeah, that's crazy but anyway, let's check out what other tech specs and features the phone has. 

As a gaming smartphone, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset was expected and runs 4 different memory variants (more on that later below) - a 6GB/8GB/12GB of RAM, followed by a 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The screen panel is quite huge as well, featuring a 6.57-inch full display with a resolution of 2408 x 1080 supporting 98% sRGB colour gamut and HDR10. There's no in-display fingerprint, but it does have a 44W Super FlashCharge technology for the respectable 4500mAh battery. Reports say the phone can be charged to 50% in just 20 minutes and 100% within 58 minutes.

In terms of camera, the iQOO Neo 3 rear uses a 48MP main camera + 8MP 112° ultrawide + 2MP macro triple rear camera combo. The front lens is 16MP, which supports portrait mode and AI eye-tracking. In addition, there are also dual stereo speakers, 5G dual-mode SA/NSA and WiFi 6+ dual acceleration. 

With the few memory variants, there are 4 of them so here are the prices below:

  • 6GB + 128GB - 2698 yuan (~RM1664)
  • 8GB + 128GB - 2998 yuan (~RM1849)
  • 12GB + 128GB - 3298 yuan (~RM2034)
  • 8GB + 256GB - 3398 yuan (~RM2096)
