iQOO Z1 5G release: Dimensity 1000+, 144Hz refresh rate and OnePiece special edition

The iQOO Z1 5G which is the first device to feature MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset has finally been launched today. After seeing several rumours, the device turns out to be not a new smartphone but an iQOO Neo 3 5G that features the Dimensity 1000+ chipset. However, we think that the new chipset will still have a different performance than the previous one. Now, let's take a look at all them specs!

Other than the Dimesity 1000+ being a star feature of the smartphone, there's also a 6.57-inch LCD with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The device will pack a 4500mAh battery as well that supports 44W SuperFlash charge. It is said that the device can go from flat to 50 percent in 23 minutes and another 36 minutes to reach 100 percent charge.

Other than that, the iQOO Z1 will come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 6, dual-mode 5G (SA/NSA), dual SIM (5G+5G), NFC, USB-C port, and super linear dual speaker. There's also a Multi-Turbo 3.5 which will boost the performance with liquid cooling heat dissipation that can reduce the smartphone's temperature by 10 to 12 degree Celcius.

For photography, the iQOO Z1 packs a triple-camera setup at the back that brings a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro unit. A 16MP front-facing camera is available as well and is housed in a punch-hole cutout on the screen. The device will go on sale in China starting from 1 June with the price of 2198 Yuan (~RM1345) for 6/128GB variant, 2498 Yuan (~RM1529) for 8/128GB variant and 2798 Yuan (~RM1712) for 8/256GB variant. It will be available in Galaxy Silver and Space Blue for colour options and also an OnePiece special edition!
