iQOO Z9 5G release - Dimensity 7200 SoC, 120Hz AMOLED and 44W charging from ~RM1130

After being in the rumour mills for a while, iQOO today finally launched the iQOO Z9 5G in India, its latest mid-range offering. Featuring some compelling specs for the price point, read on to find out more about the smartphone. 

As per GSMArena, under the hood, the Z9 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. There’s also a 5000mAh battery inside with support for 44W charging via the USB-C port.

Display-wise, it’s a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED with an FHD+ resolution and a punch-hole cutout at the top centre housing the 16MP selfie shooter. At the rear, the main camera setup is a 50MP Sony IMX882 camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor. 

Other notable specs include Android 14 vis Funtouch OS 14, dual SIM, a microSD card slot, NFC, a 3.5mm audio jack and colour options of either Brushed Green or Graphene Blue. In India, the Z9 5G starts at INR19999 or ~RM1130 for 8/128GB and INR21999 or ~RM1243 for 8/256GB.
