iQOO confirms that the Z7 Pro 5G will be powered by the Dimensity 7200 SoC

iQOO is set to launch the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G this 31 August in India, its latest offering in the country. Building up the hype until launch day, the company has also teased the device’s specs, including the processor under the hood. 

As reported by GSMArena, iQOO India revealed the SoC of the Z7 Pro 5G being the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 via a press note. Moreover, the company said that the processor scored over 700000 points in AnTuTu.

Previously, iQOO took to Twitter to tease the device’s curved screen, with an official render showing the front design. It also showed the display having a punch-hole cutout at the top centre. 

The screen has since been confirmed to be a 120Hz AMOLED panel, though the exact screen size is unknown. Other confirmed specs include a 7.36mm thickness, an AG Glass back and a 64MP AURA Light main camera with OIS. 

The device is set to be unveiled in India during an event on 31 August, with consumers in the country able to purchase it via Amazon India when launched. As of the time of writing, iQOO has yet to reveal whether the device would be released in other markets.
