The iQOO 5 series is going to launch on 17 August at 2:30 pm and the company just officially announced on Weibo that this smartphone will be supporting the 120W fast-charge technology. Moreover, there’s a leak that this phone might comes with a dual-battery setup.

A few days ago, there was a showcase of the 120W fast-charge technology on the iQOO 5 series at the China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference (ChinaJoy). It showcased that in just 5 minutes, the battery can achieve up to 50% battery life, to fully charge up to 100%, it only takes 15 minutes. For your information, the phone features a 4000mAh battery capacity.

On the other hand, this device got certified by the TUV Rheinland for the fast charge technology. Just so you know, the original charger adapter for the iQOO 5 series is just 65W so in other words, you will need to buy a separate 120W fast charger adapter. Besides that, it can support charging laptops, cameras, and other gadgets that support 100V to 240V wide voltage range. If there are insufficient power supply or non-220V in other regions, the charger can also support up to 120W output.

What do you think about this fast-charge technology? Would you buy the iQOO 5 series if it was launched in Malaysia? (Which we know they would never come.LEL) Let us know in the comments below and be sure to stay tuned for more tech news on TechNave.com
