To mark Malaysia’s 68th year of independence, global mobility platform inDrive is rolling out a patriotic gesture that puts drivers first. From 30 August to 1 September 2025, inDrive will slash its commission rate to just 6.8%.
Already known for offering Malaysia’s lowest standard commission rate at 10.99%, this Merdeka promo reinforces inDrive’s commitment to fairness, transparency, and community-driven mobility.
Flags on the Road: 1000 Jalur Gemilang Distributed to Drivers
inDrive is also bringing national pride to the streets by distributing 1000 Jalur Gemilang flags to partner drivers across the country. The initiative invites drivers to fly the flag proudly while serving riders.

“Merdeka is a time for Malaysians to come together in the spirit of unity, independence, and progress,” said Azlan Anwar, Driver Operations Manager at inDrive Malaysia. “Our partner drivers are at the heart of inDrive, and this initiative is our way of honouring their contribution while celebrating our nation’s 68th year of independence.”
Ride with Pride This Merdeka
With operations run by a Malaysian team and a driver base made up entirely of Malaysians, inDrive’s Merdeka celebration feels especially personal. The company continues to grow its footprint in Malaysia by supporting local drivers and delivering greater value to the community. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
