Some Genshin Impact fans were disappointed at how lacking the first anniversary of the game turned out to be. But that could be because miHoYo was busy working on a new game. The company announced a new game yesterday, and it's called Honkai: Star Rail.
Based on the name and teaser image, this game is probably related to the Honkai series and takes place in space. The company hasn't announced anything but did confirm that the closed beta is coming on 8 October 2021. This suggests that the game is already nearing completion, so miHoYo must have been slacking on Genshin Impact to work on this (jk lol).

First closed beta sign-up event will start on October 8. Stay tuned, Trailblazers!#HonkaiStarRail pic.twitter.com/LCzpEQFll4
In addition, a teaser video for the game was also leaked on YouTube, revealing new characters that are not present in Honkai Impact 3 (HI3). Furthermore, Dual Shockers previously reported miHoYo registering the "Honkai Impact 4 Galaxy" trademark. This trademark could be referring to Honkai: Star Rail and might be the proof that the game is a sequel of sorts.
There are also plenty of leaked images on Twitter showing character designs and features in the game. With that said, how will Honkai: Star Rail compare to miHoYo's other major games? Let us know what you expect to see from the game in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates about it.
