For the first time, nubia has officially introduced its first-ever foldable device, the nubia Fold. At the moment, the device is on sale in Japan starting 4 December 2025, at 178560 Japanese Yen (~RM4.7K). Here are the rest of the tech specs that you need to know.

The nubia Fold Tech Specs

The nubia Fold stands out with its dual-display configuration. When opened, the inner panel expands into a spacious 8.0-inch OLED screen with a 2480 × 2200 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. And when folded, the device transforms into a smartphone-sized form factor using its 6.5-inch outer OLED display, which also supports 120Hz with a 2748 × 1172 resolution.

Inside, the nubia Fold comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Users can expect strong thermal control and responsive multitasking thanks to the chipset’s high efficiency. A major highlight is the 6560 mAh battery, significantly larger than most foldables. With support for 55W fast charging, the device aims to deliver full-day endurance even with heavy use of the expansive inner screen.

The nubia Fold features a triple-camera system anchored by a 50MP main sensor, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, the device includes 20MP front cameras on both the inner and outer displays.

Connectivity options include 5G and 4G LTE on Y!mobile bands, along with eSIM and nanoSIM support for flexible carrier usage. Moreover, Japanese customers also benefit from built-in FeliCa support for contactless payments, which integrates with major Japanese transit and retail systems.

Out of the box, the nubia Fold runs Android 15, while the security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face recognition using the front cameras.

Will It Come To Malaysia?

nubia does sell some of its models here, particularly the REDMAGIC gaming devices. Despite that, it's still tough to say if the company will import the nubia Fold here. We can assume that it could be exclusive only in the Japanese market, since it was not launched globally. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
