nubia Z50S Pro release - SD 8+ Gen 2 SoC, 35mm lens and 5100mAh battery from ~RM2343

As we’ve alluded to before, nubia today launched the nubia Z50S Pro in China, the latest flagship device from the ZTE subsidiary. Featuring some impressive specs and imaging capabilities, read on to find out more about the device. 

First up, the highlight of the Z50S Pro has got to be its camera setup. According to GSMArena, the device sports a 35mm 1G+6P lens with a wide f/1.59 aperture, OIS and a 50MP 1/1.49-inch sensor as its main camera.

This is paired with a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 13mm lens (125-degree FOV and f/2.0) that doubles as a macro cam. Completing the triple-camera setup is a 16MP 80mm lens with f/2.4 telephoto sensor and OIS. 

Under the hood, the Z50S Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC with a 3.36GHz prime core and boosted GPU paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB storage. There’s also a 5100mAh battery with support for 80W charging, as well as a 4,233mm² vapour chamber to cool the device.

As for the display, it’s a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels. In China, the Z50S Pro is offered in three colours, namely black, khaki and white (CNY100 or ~RM63 pricier). 

The 12/256GB variant is priced at CNY3700 or ~RM2343 and goes all the way up to 16GB/1TB for CNY4499 or ~RM2850. As of the time of writing, nubia has yet to reveal whether the device would be available outside of China.
