realme Malaysia today released the realme 12 series 5G in our country, comprising the realme 12+ 5G and realme 12 Pro+ 5G. Featuring some excellent features for its price points, read on to find out more about the 12 series 5G.
First up, the 12 Pro+ 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 paired with either 8 or 12GB of RAM and either 256 or 512GB of storage. Under the hood, there’s also a 5000mAh battery with support for 67W SUPERVOOC charging via the USB-C port.
The imaging department is where the device shines, whereby it features a 50MP Sony IMX890 OIS main + 8MP ultra-wide + 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope triple-camera setup at the rear paired with a 32MP selfie shooter at the front. In terms of display, it sports a 6.7-inch 120Hz curved OLED with an FHD+ resolution and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut.
Other notable specs include dual SIM, Android 14 via realme UI 5.0, an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers and colour options of either Submarine Blue or Navigator Beige. In Malaysia, the 12 Pro+ 5G is priced at RM1699 for the 8/256GB variant and RM2099 for the 12/512GB configuration.
As for its little brother the 12+ 5G, it’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. There’s also a 5000mAh battery under the hood with 67W SUPERVOOC charging via the USB-C port.
Camera-wise, it has a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro triple-camera setup at the back and a 16MP AI selfie shooter at the front. Screen-wise, it’s a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED with an FHD+ resolution.
Other notable specs include dual SIM, an in-display fingerprint scanner, Android 14 via realme UI 5.0, a 3.5mm audio jack and colour options of either Pioneer Green or Navigator Beige. In Malaysia, the 12+ 5G is priced at RM1499 for the singular 12/256GB option.
In conjunction with the 3.3 Festival, interested shoppers can bring home the realme 12 Pro+ 5G (8GB+256GB configuration) with a limited-time price of RM1599 when they purchase from official Shopee, Lazada and TikTok stores. In addition, realme Malaysia is offering a 30-day 1-to-1 replacement – a period longer than the industry practice of 7 days – for realme 12 Pro+ 5G and realme 12+ 5G that are bought and activated between 1 March and 31 March 2024.
