Flagship devices can be cool, but they're not devices most people in Malaysia can afford. That's when you go for an entry-level smartphone instead. And from realme, another one is set to launch next week.
realme Malaysia has confirmed that a new realme 14x will launch on 24 January 2025. First launched last year on 18 December 2024, the realme 14x is a successor to the realme 12x. It's expected to feature a Dimensity 6300 chipset, 6GB/8GB of RAM, and 128GB/256GB of storage. The biggest upgrade is the 6000mAh battery, a 1000mAh increase over the realme 12x's 5000mAh battery.
For reference, the realme 12x retailed in Malaysia for RM899. realme Malaysia hasn't confirmed the local pricing for the Realme 14x but has announced other areas for improvement. Besides the upgraded chipset, the phone is expected to have improved build quality, a more ergonomic design, and smarter AI features.
It looks like realme Malaysia wants to keep the price under wraps for the launch next week, but we still expect this to be a sub-RM1000 smartphone. Until the launch, stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
Update: realme Malaysia has informed us that specs for the realme 14x could differ in Malaysia, so expect some discrepancies with the info above.
