realme is set to kick off 2026 with the launch of two new models, the realme 16 Pro and realme 16 Pro+, which are expected to arrive in India on January 6, 2025. So, what should you know about it?

The Pro+ model could feature 3 different colours

According to rumours, the realme 16 Pro will come with a base configuration of 8GB + 128GB, while the realme 16 Pro+ model offers larger storage options, including 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB and up to 12GB + 512GB.

In addition, the Pro+ model is also expected to come in three attractive colour options: MasterGrey, Master Gold, and Camellia Pink. One of the main differences between the two models is the presence of a telephoto lens on the realme 16 Pro+, giving it better zoom capabilities than the standard model.

Otherwise, both devices are expected to share most of the same specifications, including a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. For selfie lovers, there is a 50MP front camera, while on the back, there is a 200MP main camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens.

Moreover, the realme 16 Pro is rumoured to carry a large battery of 7,000mAh with 80W fast charging support. This battery capacity is expected to provide long-term endurance, suitable for those who use the phone for work, entertainment or gaming all day. With a combination of solid specifications and a more premium design, the realme 16 Pro series is seen as one of the most exciting launches at the beginning of the new year.
