realme India recently released the realme 16T for the midrange. Standout features for the phone include an 8000 mAh battery with bypass charging, 50MP Sony IMX852 “AI” camera, a 6.8-inch HD+ 144Hz LCD display with 1200 nits brightness and MIL-STD-810H toughness. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details but it is available in India on preorder from 29999INR (~RM1241).
Other tech specs and features
The realme 16T is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with 6GB / 8GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB storage. It also supports expandable memory up to a 2TB microSD and has up to IP69 Pro Water and dust certification. Available in Aurora Green, Starlight Black and Starlight Red (exclusive to India) with a Gleaming Wings patterned design on the back.
The front camera is 16MP, while the fingerprint sensor is built into the power button on the side. The large battery also supports 45W wired fast charging along with 15 reverse wired charging. It also has a 5300 mm2 vapor chamber to perhaps handle higher charging temperatures. The battery is supposed to last 7 years but we have no details on how long it will receive updates.

Overall, it’s quite surprising to have just a HD+ display for a midranger, but perhaps this is to help increase the battery life to the claimed 3 days?
