Once again, realme has released yet another new pair of smartphones which are the realme 8 and realme 8 Pro. The phones aren't in Malaysia yet but we got all the information that you need to know. So without further ado, read on below about the new realme 8 series.

For starters, the realme 8 Pro features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset and has two RAM configurations - 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The internal storage is just 128GB with expandable memory via a microSD card, which applies the same thing on the realme 8. Speaking of which, both the realme 8 and 8 Pro have the same 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED with a 60Hz refresh rate + 180Hz touch sampling rate.

For some reason, realme 8 Pro has a smaller battery pack of 4500mAh than the realme 8 (5000mAh, 30W fast charge) but at least it has a faster 50W charging speed. The quad rear camera module is 108MP (main) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (monochrome), whereas the realme 8 has the same but using a 64MP main camera. Both have a 16MP front camera.

The realme 8 is sporting a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset and has three RAM options - 4GB, 6GB or 8GB. Other than that, both phones have an in-display fingerprint sensor and realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. Since there are 5 different RAM models, below are the pricing for each:

  • realme 8, 4GB - 14,999 Rupee (~RM854)
  • realme 8, 6GB - 15,999 Rupee (~RM910)
  • realme 8, 8GB - 16,999 Rupee (~RM967)
  • realme 8 Pro, 6GB - 17,999 Rupee (~RM1024)
  • realme 8 Pro, 8GB - 19,999 Rupee (~RM1138)

The realme 8 series will probably make its way to the Malaysian market soon. So until then, stay tuned for the official announcement and news coverage only at TechNave.com.
