We all know that most smartwatches or smart bands can detect our heart rates. Rather than a traditional heart-rate monitor, this is the more common method people employ these days. But did you know that smartphones can also do this? Specifically, realme has one that can do it.
Recently, Madhav Sheth (VP of realme) announced that the upcoming realme 9 Pro+ will come with a heart-rate sensor. The device does this using the fingerprint reader, which is an under-display optical scanner. This scanning method isn't very accurate, but you can save the recorded BPM under General, Walking, Exercise, and Reading. At the very least, this gives you a general idea of whether your heart rate is normal.
Keep a track of your health and be aware of it throughout the day.

Previously, it was confirmed that the realme 9 Pro+ would be powered by the Dimensity 920 chipset. It's also expected to have 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage, and a 4500mAh battery. In addition, the main camera would be a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor and the first in a mid-range device with optical image stabilisation (OIS). Other features should include 65W fast charging, a 16MP front camera, and a 6.43-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
The realme 9 series is expected to get a global launch on 16 February 2022, so we'll find out more details in the coming week. With that said, what are your thoughts on the phone so far? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for further updates about it.
