realme 9 Pro+ with light shift design spotted, expected to have 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor

Last month, realme announced the availability of the realme 9i in Malaysia. The rest of the realme 9 series will be launching soon. Most of the leaks have been about the Pro variants, and this time around we have more details on the realme 9 Pro+.

Pictures of the realme 9 Pro+ have been shared by @NeonVikash, revealing that the phone has a light shift design. It allows the cover of a smartphone to look different when it's exposed to light at different angles. In this case, the blue-coloured realme 9 Pro+ shifted to a pink-red colour under the sunlight. As you can see, it has a rather glossy back cover, so expect it to be a major fingerprint magnet.

In a related leak, @heyitsyogesh claimed that the realme 9 Pro+ would have a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor that has optical image stabilisation. This was partially mentioned in a previous leak, which also confirmed that the phone would have a 16MP front camera. There will also be an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP depth sensor at the back.

Personally, the light shift design doesn't appeal to me, but some fans might find this colour-shifting characteristic interesting. How about you? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for further updates about the phone.
